Mobile Tech 2025 rubber chicken kazoo shirt drop

Charlie and the Rubber Chicken Kazoo

Charlie was an inventor. Not the kind that builds robots or rocket ships, but the kind that turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. His workspace, a cluttered garage, was filled with half-finished gadgets, jars of screws, and a suspicious number of duct-taped contraptions. One lazy Saturday, Charlie found himself staring at a pile of random objects: an empty water bottle, a scrap of rubber from an old chicken toy, and a handful of mismatched odds and ends.

He tapped his chin. “What can I make that’s equal parts ridiculous and genius?”

The answer struck him like a lightning bolt. A kazoo. But not just any kazoo. A rubber chicken kazoo.

Charlie grabbed the water bottle and cut off the top, leaving a wide opening. Then, he carefully retrieved the battered rubber chicken from a box labeled “Potential Goldmines.” With a pair of scissors and some delicate snipping, he cut a piece of the rubber chicken’s neck, stretching it like a membrane across the opening of the bottle.

He secured the rubber with a sturdy rubber band and tested its tautness by plucking it. Satisfied, he poked a small hole in the side of the bottle near the top. This, he decided, was the “kazoo portal.” Finally, he added a mouthpiece made from a cut-off straw, wedged snugly into the hole.

When he finished, the contraption looked… absurd. It was a water bottle with a piece of a chicken strapped to it, but Charlie was brimming with excitement. He raised it to his lips, took a deep breath, and hummed.

The sound that emerged was indescribable. It was part squawk, part buzz, and entirely hilarious. Charlie doubled over in laughter. “This,” he declared to no one in particular, “is my masterpiece.”

Word spread quickly around the neighborhood. By the end of the week, kids, adults, and even the local marching band showed up at Charlie’s garage, all eager to try his strange invention. Soon, they were parading through the streets, each holding a homemade rubber chicken kazoo.

That night, as Charlie sat on his porch, listening to the bizarre symphony echoing through the town, he smiled. It wasn’t about practicality or perfection—it was about finding joy in the unexpected.

And from then on, Charlie became known as the inventor of the world’s first rubber chicken kazoo, proving that with a little creativity (and a lot of silliness), even a water bottle and a rubber chicken could make magic.

Thank you to ChatGPT for the story.

Special thanks go to Dan (MT Alum) for outdoing himself and bringing to life the chicken Kazoo art work!

The shirt would not be what it is without a Dan's contribution.

Thank you to Charlie for creating something that brought all of Mobile Tech so much joy!

Now on to the main event, the shirts!
